Tips for Storing Your Property

When storing clothing, make sure they are clean and well packed in sealed
  boxes.

Unprinted paper should be used for packing to prevent ink smudges from
  transferring to your belongings.

DO NOT use plastic on wood furniture - humidity may condense on plastic and
cause damage.  Place a light cloth dust cover over your furniture.

Pack boxes with the contents in mind.  Large boxes should be used to store large
lighter items to avoid back injuries.

Use small boxes  for small, compact and heavier items.  Great for CD's, videos,
  can goods and books.

Use medium boxes for appliances, kitchen utensils, photo albums, books and
  computer material.

Use large boxes for kids toys, clothing, kitchen pots and pans and Tupperware.
Pack lighter items in this size.

Use extra large boxes for lightweight items such as lamp shades, bedroom linen,
table clothes, towels, pillows and comforters.  Pack lighter items in this size.

Use dish boxes for dishes, glasses, china and crystal.  Double wall construction
  is great for breakable items.

A small efficiently packed unit will cost less than a larger unit in which the
  contents are poorly arranged.

DO NOT store food items of any kind in your unit.  A lot of money is spent on
  rodent and insect prevention.

DO NOT place goods against the unit walls.  Leave a 4 inch air space around
the unit perimeter to aid in ventilation.
